BLT Dip Recipe
Delicious Flavors of Bacon Lettuce Tomato

BLT Dip Recipe and AppetizerThis BLT Dip Recipe takes the wonderful flavors of a Bacon Lettuce and Tomato sandwich and put them into a dip.

This is one of those appetizers that benefit from sitting for a while to let the flavors blend. Two hours is probably the minimum. We recommend letting it sit over night.

One tip we have come across when making this is when you are cutting the tomatoes, cut them in half first and hold each half over the sink and squeeze them gently to get the water and seeds out. This helps keep the dip from getting soupy.

One of our readers said they couldn't find ripe tomatoes at their store, so they used half a cup of diced tomatoes from a can. (drained first). We haven't tried this yet but sounds like a good idea when you can't find any ripe ones.
