Chocolate Cheese Balls
Learn How To Make Chocolate Truffles
Chocolate Cheese Balls, also known as "Truffles" are a really delicious cream cheese dessert that are easy to make. Your friends and family will be impressed when they see these on the table. The flavors of chocolate, strawberry preserves and toasted almonds combine for a flavor explosion in your mouth.
You also get a nice crunchy texture from the vanilla wafer crumbs. We have a hard time making enough of these for our parties.
It's important that you keep them chilled until you are ready to serve. If you are travelling with them to a party then you should keep them in a cooler with ice. They get sticky once they start to warm up.
You can also split this recipe up and make smaller batches with different flavored preserves. We have made them with apricot, raspberry, and blueberry jams.
Here are some other ideas for different toppings to roll your truffles in:
- Ground up Oreo Cookies
- Ground up Graham Crackers
- Ground up Peanut Butter Cookies
- Finely chopped peanuts or pecans
- Cocoa Powder
|
- Ground up Pretzels
- Ground up Toffee
