crab dipDo you need a "melt in your mouth appetizer"? Then this Crab Dip Appetizer is the one you are looking for. You mix the ingredients together heat for 15 minutes and you are done. You might want to keep an extra set of ingredients on hand to make some more. We have noticed that this dip is one of the first to go.


Crab Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (6 ounces) crabmeat, or about 1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sliced scallions or chives, for garnish

 

Preparation:

  1. Combine cream cheese, crabmeat, onion, half and half, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Place mixture in an ovenproof serving dish.
  3. Bake at 375° for about 15 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped scallions and serve with crackers or pita chips.

 

Crab Appetizer Tip:

You can use an 8 oz. container of whipped cream cheese for faster preparation. You won't have to wait for it to soften. Also: You can substitute milk for half and half if you don't want to buy a whole container for just a few tablespoons..
