Crab Dip Appetizer
A delicious baked crab dip

crab dip

Do you need a "melt in your mouth appetizer"? Then this Crab Dip Appetizer is the one you are looking for. You mix the ingredients together heat for 15 minutes and you are done.

You might want to keep an extra set of ingredients on hand to make some more. We have noticed that this dip is one of the first to go. The hard part is keeping my family away from it before the guests arrive.

We usually add a teaspoon of our favorite hot sauce just to give it a little kick.

Crab Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 8 oz. package softened cream cheese
  • 1 can (6 oz.) crabmeat, should be about 1 cup
  • 2 Tbls onion minced
  • 1 Tbls half and half
  • 1/2 tsp ground salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbls sliced green onions

Preparation:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Combine crabmeat, cream cheese, salt, pepper, onion, half and half and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl and mix.
  3. Place mixture in an ovenproof serving dish.
  4. Bake about 15 minutes, or until thoroughly heated.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve with crackers or pita chips.

Crab Appetizer Tip:

You can substitute milk for half and half if you don't want to buy a whole container for just a few tablespoons.
