Easy Chicken Salad Recipe
This recipe is one that we always put out during football games at our house. Some of our guests eat it with crackers and some make a sandwich. Over the years we have learned to put a bottle of hot sauce near the chicken salad. My uncle always requests it and now he has all the guys putting hot sauce on theirs. During the super bowl they had a contest to see who could stand the most hot sauce. Oh boy... we almost ran out of beer half way through the first quarter. Sometimes we use a basic chicken salad recipe which just uses celery but most of the time we add all kinds of yummy ingredients to it. My favorite is sliced grapes and pecans. Kind of like a Waldorf salad. The kids prefer raisins in theirs. I once made the mistake of asking our children what they wanted in their chicken salad. The oldest one yelled out " M&Ms". Our youngest said " Gummi Worms!" I told them "Nice Try!" We all broke out in laughter." So raisins it is!" I shouted.
