Frozen Yogurt Pops

Yogurt Pops

Make your kids some cool yogurt desserts. Frozen Yogurt Pops are a healthy treat for them to eat. Our kids call them frozen yogurt ice cream.

Most kids don’t understand what being healthy is so you have to trick them into eating better. Making healthy food fun to eat has proven to be the best way to do that.
If any of your kids are allergic to dairy, you can now find soy yogurt in the health food sections of most grocery stores.

Healthy Stuff
Yogurt is also a good source of probiotics. Probiotics are dietary supplements containing bacteria or yeasts and are intended to assist the body's naturally occurring beneficial microbes.
Probiotic yogurt will contain strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, which are the most widely used probiotic bacteria.
O.K. the science lesson is over.
All we need to know is that yogurt is good for us.

Here's How To Make Them

Ingredients:

  • 1 8 ounce container of your favorite yogurt (blended or fruit on the bottom)
  • Small paper cups
  • Plastic Wrap or aluminum foil
  • Popsicle Sticks

Preparation:

  1. Pour yogurt into small paper cups.
Fill them about 1/4 inch from the top
  2. Put a piece of plastic wrap across the top of each cup. If the plastic wrap won't adhere to the cup then use a rubber band around the top edge to hold it on. Or use aluminum foil instead.
  3. Use a knife to make a slit in the plastic wrap or foil.
  4. Put a popsicle in the slit you cut and stand it up in the center of the cup.
  5. Put the cups in the freezer until the yogurt is frozen.
  6. Remove the plastic wrap and peel the paper cup away.
