
Our Garlic Hummus Recipe is mainly an easy to make Hummus recipe with a few changes. Olive oil has been used instead of Tahini for a smooth texture.
Tahini can be hard to find, so this recipe is a good alternative for the basic recipe.
You can taste the Hummus as you are making it. If 2 teaspoons of minced garlic isn't enough you can add as much as you like.
Garlic Hummus Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 (16 ounce) cans garbanzo beans (chick peas) drained.
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation:
- Drain and rinse garbanzos. Don't use the juices from the can in this recipe. It will muddy the flavor.
- Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse until ingredients are well mixed.
- If the hummus seems too thick, then add as much water as you need for the consistency you like. It should be similar to a bean dip in texture.
