Grilled Cajun Shrimp

Grilled Cajun ShrimpThis is an easy Cajun recipe. Grilled Cajun Shrimp have a great spicy flavor. The best way to cook shrimp on the grill is to thread the shrimp onto skewers, otherwise they tend to fall between the grates of the grill.
Shrimp cooks very quickly. If you over cook the shrimp they get very tough. Since grills differ in heat output it is difficult to give you accurate cooking times. We have listed an average cooking time for them below in the preparation section.

Shrimp are best grilled quickly but not over too high of a heat. They are done when the entire outside surface has changed color.

There are a wide variety of shrimp and they do come in slightly different colors. Most shrimp you buy starts out grey, almost blue and turns pink as it cooks.

Once the skin surface of the shrimp no longer shows any of its original color it is done. So if you are looking for a delicious grilled appetizer, Cajun shrimp should definitely be on your menu.
