Missing Fingers

Eerie Edible Fingers

Missing FingersMissing Fingers are easy to make and qualify as one of those gross recipes for Halloween that everyone expects to see.

The kids go wild when they see them, especially the boys. They are at that age where the more disgusting it is the better they like it. It's usually a contest to see who will eat one first.

These Missing Finger appetizers are held together with toothpicks while they cook. Usually the toothpicks are removed and thrown away. You don't see them in this picture but I found some tiny plastic sword toothpicks that looked pretty cool. The tiny swords give a pirate theme to them with the sword stuck in the bloody finger. So, after they came out of the oven, I replaced the wood toothpicks with the plastic swords.

Whenever I am invited to a Halloween party, one of the first questions i'm asked is; "Hey, can you make those bloody finger things that you had at your party last year?" I hope that isn't the only reason they invite me.
