Orange Spread

A Tasty Spread Bursting With Orange Flavor

Orange Spread

Orange Spread goes great with Banana Cranberry Bread, dinner rolls and muffins. You can put a bowl on your appetizer table and then bring it over to the dining table to go with the main meal.

We like to make an extra batch to have on our bagels and toast in the morning.

We have recently started adding some dried cranberries to this dip. The flavors of orange and cranberry go really great together.

If you don't have time to wait for the cream cheese to soften, you can use the spreadable cream cheese that comes in plastic tubs at your food market.

These days, you can buy non-dairy cream cheese made with soy. My wife is lactose intolerant and always misses out on the yummy dips and spreads at our parties.

I made this dip with soy cream cheese for her to enjoy at our family reunion and she loved it. As a matter of fact, we didn't tell anyone about it being different, so we could see everyones' reaction when they tasted it. To our surprise, no one even noticed. It was gone in about 20 minutes.

Now we have a substitute for cream cheese that my wife can enjoy. Plus, it's very low in fat, which is good for me and my cholesterol levels.
