Pita Pizza

A Pizza Appetizer is an easy lunch or snack for kids. The hard part of making pizza at home is getting the dough right. Most mixes out of the box make dough that is hard and chewy.

By using pita bread, the dough is already taken care of and it's the perfect shape for making pizzas for the kids. Slice these up into quarters with a pizza cutting wheel and they make great appetizers for parties and family get togethers.

Pizza Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients:

1 – package of round pita bread
1 small jar or can of pizza sauce
1-package of shredded mozzarella
Your choice of toppings

Preparation:

Pre-heat oven to 400˚F
Spread some pizza sauce on the pita bread. You want to cover it with a thin coat. If you add too much sauce it has a tendency to drip out of the pizza and make a mess.
Then put your kids favorite toppings on and spread the cheese on top of that.
Put the pita pizzas on a baking sheet and bake until the cheese is melted and the edges of the pita are just turning brown.

One thing they never tell you about child raising is that for the rest of your life, at the drop of a hat, you are expected to know your child's name and how old he or she is.
