Spider CupcakesKids Love These Cupcakes for Halloween
Of course, you aren't limited to one kind of icing. Try coloring vanilla icing with orange food coloring and adding some different flavor extracts. Another idea, is to use red hot candies for the eyes. You can glue them on with a tube of red icing. Last year we used a vanilla icing flavored with peppermint extract. The peppermint flavor went well with the oreo cookie. It kind of tasted like the "Thin Mint" cookies the girl scouts sell. I found some neon food colors at the store the other day. I made some neon orange icing for these Spider Cupcakes. The icing looked good against the oreos. They almost glowed in the dark. I took these to the school for my sons' Halloween party. They were a hit. All the kids wanted one. Next year i'm going to take some Ghost Cookies. They are really easy to make and my son likes them even better than these cupcakes.
