Veggie Dip Recipe

 

Veggie DipThis is a great tasting Veggie Dip Recipe that has been in our family for many years.

As far as veggie dips go this one is easy to make. If you are looking for a stronger flavor, then you can add an extra teaspoon of Italian salad dressing mix or sometimes we add a teaspoon of hot sauce for a bit more zing.

The secret to getting the flavors blended correctly is to let it sit in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Overnight is better.

Serve with carrots, celery, broccoli and some sliced zucchini. If you like bell pepper, then slice up some red, green and yellow ones, they taste great and add color to your vegetable plate.

As a garnish, we sprinkle some chopped green onion on top.

 

Veggie Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 1/8 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion flakes or raw onion
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

 

Preparation:

In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, Italian-style salad dressing mix, curry powder, minced onion , dried parsley, lemon juice, salt and Worcestershire sauce.

Chill in the refrigerator for two hours before serving.
